About K&B Panels  ·  3D brick, stone and slate effect wall panels

We make the panels, we hold the stock, and we answer the phone.

K&B is a family business with an English side and a Turkish side. We make every panel at our own factory in Istanbul, keep stock in Liverpool, Indiana and Bologna, and look after every customer ourselves, whether you bought from us, from Amazon or from Walmart.

Why we started making our own brick effect wall panels

PHOTO

Thin plastic sheets with a photo of brick printed on them. Nothing to feel when you run your hand across them, flat from across the room and worse up close. Finishes that chipped within a year. We knew, because we'd sold them, fitted them and lived with them.

The alternative wasn't much better. Once brick slips are fitted they typically land at five or six times the cost of a panel wall, and that's before you find a tradesperson willing to take on a single feature wall, wait weeks for a date, and lose the room to mortar and pointing for two or three days. A lot of people want the wall and give up when they see the quote. That's the gap our panels fill, as a lightweight alternative to brick slips.

One side of our family has spent decades in manufacturing in Istanbul. The other side is from Liverpool, with a background in trade and retail. Between us we had the factory knowledge and the selling experience to make a better panel ourselves.

So we built our own factory in Tuzla, Istanbul, instead of buying from someone else's production line. That decision is behind everything customers notice: a moulded mineral and cement face with real depth, colour that stays consistent from batch to batch, and stock we can promise because we make it.

K&B Panels Limited was registered in Liverpool in October 2024. Since then we've grown into B&Q, The Range, Robert Dyas, Amazon, TikTok Shop and Walmart across the UK and US, and we're still the same family answering the emails.

American orders ship from our own stock in Indiana, not from overseas. No customs, no import charges landing on your doorstep, no six week wait. Our warehouse team is on site with the pallets, so if you need to know where an order is or send something back, you are speaking to the people standing next to it. If you are close enough to call in and see the panels first, you are welcome to, by appointment.

Our own factory. Every panel is moulded, coated and finished by our team, which is why the charcoal you order next year will match the charcoal already on your wall. The core is construction-grade expanded polystyrene (EPS) from suppliers certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, and our offcuts go back into production instead of into landfill.

BolognaItaly

We now sell in Italy, from stock held in Bologna. Same panels, same factory, priced in euros and delivered locally, with an Italian-speaking team you can call or email. Elsewhere in Europe? Get in touch and we'll give you an honest answer on what we can deliver and when.

What are 3D wall panels made of?

What they are What they are not
A flame retardant EPS core with a two layer mineral and cement face, moulded and coloured to look like brick, stone or slate Not real masonry and not structural. They are a decorative face, and we would rather say so than have you find out
About 3kg per square metre against roughly 200kg for real brick, or 0.6lb per square foot against 41lb, so they go onto a stud wall with no structural work Not printed PVC or flat foam. The texture is moulded, not a picture of a texture
100cm by 50cm per panel (39in by 20in), ten panels to a box, covering 5m² or 54 square feet Not a damp proof course or a fix for a wall that already has a problem
Weatherproof and UV resistant, so outside is a normal use and not an exception Not peel and stick. They are fixed with adhesive and they are meant to stay

Common questions

Can brick effect wall panels be used outside?

Yes. The panels are weatherproof and UV resistant, so garden walls, porches and outdoor kitchens are normal uses rather than exceptions. Use an exterior grade adhesive and make sure the wall behind is sound and dry before you start.

How much do 3D wall panels cost to fit?

Fitting them yourself typically works out at around a fifth to a sixth of the cost of brick slips fitted by a tradesperson. Each panel covers 0.5m² (5.4 square feet), and a box of ten covers 5m² (54 square feet). Send us your measurements and we'll tell you exactly how many boxes you need.

How do you fit brick effect panels?

A sharp knife to cut, a spirit level to keep the courses straight and adhesive to fix them to the wall. No mortar, no pointing and no structural work, because the panels weigh around 3kg per square metre (0.6lb per square foot). Most customers finish a small feature wall in about two hours. Our fitting guides walk through it step by step.

Are EPS wall panels fire resistant?

They're flame retardant by design. The construction grade EPS core is fully encapsulated behind an acrylic mineral coating that behaves much like concrete and is very difficult to ignite. That makes them suitable around contained stoves, log burners and electric fires, and as kitchen backsplashes, which is exactly what many of our customers use them for.

Formal fire testing is currently underway with Warrington Fire, so we don't have a Euroclass rating to share yet. If you need documentation for a specific project, email hello@kbpanels.com and we'll send whatever we have available.

Brick slips or wall panels: which is better?

Brick slips are real fired clay and look it up close, but they're heavy, need a tradesperson and mortar, and cost several times more once fitted. Panels are lighter, cheaper and something you can fit in an afternoon, but they're a decorative finish rather than masonry.

Ask us anything before you buy

Send us a photo of your wall and rough measurements, and we'll tell you how many boxes you need, which adhesive to use and whether the style you like will work. If it won't, we'll tell you.
